Welcome to the Canmore Folk Music Festival. We are very proud to be Alberta’s longest running Folk Music Festival. Scotland comes to Canmore each year on the Sunday of Labour Day weekend, for the Premier Highland Games of Western Canada. It’s the event of the season - everyone loves to come to Canmore to show their Celtic colours and celebrate in everything Scottish. It is heavily attended by competitors and spectators alike. It’s a day of non-stop entertainment from 8 am to 5 pm, and continues with the evening Ceilidh (big Scottish party) from 6 pm to 11 pm. Families are welcome at all events.

The Alberta World Cup Society is a nonprofit organization founded in 2004 with the mission of hosting international cross-country ski events in Alberta. The Society provides for athlete development and coaching development through the Canmore-based Alberta World Cup Academy, one of Canada's top athlete development centres, and works with Cross Country Alberta in the development of race officials and volunteers. The Alberta World Cup Society will be hosting the cross country Western Canadian Championships in January, 2012, and the FIS World Cup in December, 2012.

Founded in 2004, Twenty4 Sports inc. is one of the largest promoters of mountain bike racing in North America. Twenty4 Sports inc. is a privately owned company. Available to novices and professional athletes alike, 24 Hours of Adrenalin is a massive relay, where teams of up to ten people compete to ride as many laps as possible in a 24-hour time frame. Twenty4 Sports inc. plans to host ten races this year.
