World Snow Day at the Canmore Nordic Centre

Enjoy the "Family Snow Zone" which includes skiing, skating and tobogganing. Skating and tobogganing are always free, but children/youth 17 years and under can also ski for free on World Snow Day

Canmore Winter Carnival
February 10 - 20, 2012
The Canmore Winter Carnival is back for another year with 10 days of free celebrations and events. The carnival will include the International Biathlon Union Cup Races, Xterra Triathlon and Chandra Crawford’s Fast and Female. Ski and dog sled race events will take place on a snow covered Main Street and the public are also invited to bring their cross country skis to enjoy the set ski track on Main Street. Street hockey, ice carving, log sawing, and snow sculpting events will all take place in downtown Canmore throughout the carnival.

Knuckle Basher 2012
February 11 & 12, 2012
MEC Knuckle Basher is western Canada’s largest ice climbing festival with something for everyone. Take an introductory or advanced clinic, demo some gear, and catch an evening presentation. Never climbed ice before, but think it looks fun? This is your chance to give it a try!

Annual Bike Swap

Rundle Mountain Cycling Club’s Annual Bike Swap will be held at Canmore Crossing (between Safeway and Sobey’s). Bike drop off is 9:00 am to 11:00 am and the sale runs from noon.
