Close enough to the events and entertainment that Calgary has to offer as a day trip and yet still removed enough to enjoy the beauty and pleasures of the Canadian Rocky Mountain wilderness.

Fish for trout and whitefish in the Bow River or enjoy the many hiking trails that access backcountry campsites. Take a short hike to the aquamarine Grassi Lakes and picnic against a backdrop of limestone cliffs above Canmore.
