Scotland comes to Canmore each year on the Sunday of Labour Day
weekend, for the Premier Highland Games of Western Canada.
It’s the event of the season - everyone loves to come to Canmore to
show their Celtic colours and celebrate in everything Scottish. It
is heavily attended by competitors and spectators alike.
It’s a day of non-stop entertainment from 8 am to 5 pm, and
continues with the evening Ceilidh (big Scottish party) from 6 pm to
11 pm. Families are welcome at all events.
There’s something for everyone to enjoy; the scenery, the
atmosphere, the entertainment in the Beer Garden and the Ceilidh
(these take place in our heated festival tent), the Highland
Dancing, the Piping & Drumming, the Heavy Sports, the food (you can
eat Haggis here!), the beverages, the shopping (we have vendors come
selling their Celtic wares from across the country) and exploring
Clan History.
All tickets are available on-site at the Games.
Location: Centennial Park, just two blocks off Main St.
