With 4 world-class ski resorts within a short drive, Canmore is the hub for skiing and snowboarding in the Canadian Rockies. If you're planning on a skiing or snowboarding vacation in Western Canada, you'll want to check out some of the powder snow at Banff's Sunshine Village, Mount Norquay, Lake Louise or Nakiska.

The ski and snowboard season starts around mid-November, and runs through till mid-May. The actual dates vary from season-to-season, and from hill-to-hill so make sure you call ahead.
